Your generous support helps change the lives of disabled veterans

Our History
With a common goal of serving disabled veterans, our volunteer staff taught their first class of disabled veterans to Scuba dive in 2017. We continue to provide opportunities for new groups each year, and support a community of disabled veteran divers from previous classes.
We are proud to partner with Bakersfield Scuba, Bakersfield's singular retail Scuba center and PADI Five Star retail location.
We honor the men and women who have become disabled in service to our country

Our Mission
Our Mission is to provide a transformative experience for disabled military veterans through Scuba diving. Training to become certified Scuba divers will occur at no cost to the veterans, with opportunities for advanced Scuba training. This program will also provide continued Scuba experiences for disabled veterans with a focus on teamwork and camaraderie.

Our Staff
Our dedicated staff of volunteer Scuba instructors is the most experienced team of Scuba professionals in our region. We are licensed by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) and the Handicap Scuba Association (HSA). Staff have received specialized training from HSA to teach Scuba to individuals with a variety of conditions including spinal cord injury, neurologic injuries, amputations, visual impairments, and PTSD. The Aqua-Vets organization works exclusively with disabled veterans.
